Once it was time to take the court in Philly on Friday, LeBron and Dwyane Wade both came out wearing new player exclusive version of their signature kicks.

Hitting the court in their alternate red “Away” uniforms, LeBron shed his “Mango” 9s in favor of a red and black pair while Wade took the court wearing the Fly Wade 2 we previewed on Thursday, ultimately leading the Heat to a 20-point win. Both pairs of kicks were essentially alternate versions of shoes we’ve seen from them before, with LeBron’s an inverse of the PE he rocked against the Clippers earlier this season.

The best basketball performance sneaker of 2011 is set to return in a brand new colorway this January.

Following up the release of the predominately black “Away” colorway last month comes the “Home” makeup. Already worn by Wade this season at American Airlines Arena, the kicks sport Lunarlon cushioning and a white Hyperfuse upper alongside black laces, a black heel panel, and red accents.

The Fly Wade 2 “Home” releases on January 19 for $145 via NikeStore and is available overseas now through mita.

With the NBA lock out coming an end with a Christmas Day opener, the stars step back onto the court with, not only new hope, but new shoes.

Dwyane Wade will rep the Heat once again, but this time in the Jordan Fly Wade 2. This clean second installment of the Wade signature series features a Hyperfuse upper, lightweight materials, Lunarlon cushioning and D’Wades new logo on the tongue.

Jordan Brand pokes a little fun at the NBA lockout in their most recent commercial, playing off of the “Basketball Never Stops” idea.

Despite the lack of a professional season, the lockout can’t keep Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, and Carmelo Anthony from shooting some hoops and sharpening their skills.  Apparently, the three stars have been playing whenever and wherever, with whomever, they can.  The Jumpman stars are seen playing in everything from the Miami Kiwanis Club League to the NOLA Inter-Parish League and even a Williamsburg pick-up game before competing against one another in Beijing.

As the spot reminds us, “Love the game, no matter what”.

Many sneakerheads were disappointed by the three shoes introduced by Jordan Brand’s self-hyped countdown event yesterday after expecting much more. Some expected some Air Jordan models to come back like the Air Jordan 5 Grapes/Laney, but we instead got the three newest signature shoes for Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Paul. Regardless of the hype or rather the lack of, Jordan Brand is trying to really push their products to sneakerheads who only look at the retro models. In this video, we have the honor of listening to the inspiration behind the design process for the Jordan Melo M8, Fly Wade 2, and the CP3.V from the words of the three all stars themselves. This Jordan Fly Wade features inspiration from JB’s recent China Tour. The uppers of this mark-up is comprised of all red leather, black midsole and nubuck ankle paneling, white accents and purple sock liner. No word on US releases, but you can swipe them overseas at places like Kicks-Crew.
