The seller describes the pair: “This pair was exclusively made for Ray Allen, the same year he won his first NBA Title. It features suede with green accents and ’20′ etched on the tongue instead of ’23.’ The tag reads ‘SAMPLE’ and unlike most PE’s, these will come with the XX3 box.”

When the Air Jordan 23 came out in 2008, there was an understandably insane amount of hype behind such a monumental and historic sneaker drop. From the very first colorway to drop in only 23 stores nationwide and 23 pairs, to the last colorway to drop in the same exact fashion, and even unreleased samples, this signature Jordan shoe created a buzz that only recently even began to die down. Here to revive the hype are two pairs of Player Exclusive Air Jordan 23’s made specifically for Sacramento King and Jordan Brand member Kevin Martin. The home pair comes in a predominantly white upper with purple accent near the sole, while the away pair substitutes the aforementioned white for black. If a pair(s) of these ever even becomes available for sale, you can bet these will cost you a pretty penny. For now, what we can provide are these pictures to help you keep dreaming.

The guys over at Shoe York have released images of a very rare Air Jordan XX3 Wear Test Sample. The Air Jordan XX3 is the last Air Jordan in the numbered series, and therefore is very monumental. The process of making that sneaker took some time, and we have images of an early version. Many features are almost identical to the retail version, such as the midsole and the heel flap. Which version of the XX3 do you prefer?

With the second installment of his signature ride, the CP3 2.0, waiting in the wings, New Orleans Hornets point God Chris Paul has been sporting exclusive variations of the luxurious Air Jordan XX3 (23). In short, Paul couldn’t be in a more enviable position. And to coincide with the NBA’s asinine, “51% of the sneaker must match the player’s jersey,” rule, the talented crew over at Jordan Brand manufactured this delicious black/teal version of MJ’s 23rd signature. (Cats in the sneaker industry don’t view the “51%” rule as a law; rather, it’s a challenge to combine the sickest flavors into a playable package!) CP’s “Away” pair features a teal ankle collar, TPU support wrap, and stitch pattern. His creative logo is colored up in white, and sits across the middle of the aforemenetioned collar. Amid a deluge of contrived Fusion releases, it appears as if Jordan Brand might have maintained some semblance of sole/soul. (Ask Lil’ Bow Wow for an answer–he’s an “O.G.”) The brand’s latest triumvirate of XX3 releases has been met with wide acclaim nationwide, and the black/red “Premier” update set to drop in thirteen days looks favorable. The Jumpman has continued blessing their “Team” players with an assortment of exclusive merchandise, too. Detroit Pistons forward Richard “Rip” Hamilton recently sported this red/white/blue version of the ecologically friendly, yet luxurious XX3 Mid on-court. The model is accentuated by Hamilton’s nickname, “Rip City” stitched in royal blue along the ankle collar. Questions remain, however. Did NikeTalk member ES300 take a quick flick of the shoe on his phone? (Which might explain the picture’s grainy appearence…) Does this pair (or one shoe) even belong to him? This edition of “On Court” features a key matchup between Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony. No, we’re not discussing which is the better athlete, but rather who looked better in regard to sneakers when the New Orleans Hornets faced off against the Denver Nuggets on Thanksgiving Day. Chris Paul stepped onto the courts with an Air Jordan XX3 Player Exclusive very similar to the Air Jordan XX3 inspired by the University of North Carolina which was released on November 28, 2008.  On the other side of the court, Carmelo Anthony was seen wearing a player exclusive colorway of the Air Jordan Melo M5, Carmelo’s newest signature sneaker. This colorway will most likely not be released to the public and will stay in Anthony’s personal sneaker vault. As for the game, the Hornets beat the Nuggets with a final score of 105 to 101, but Anthony outscored Paul 24 to 22.  More pictures of the two pairs can be seen after the jump. Though this colorway of the Air Jordan XX3 (23) was originally thought to be inspired by Jordan Motorsports, we soon were informed of the fact that this colorway actually originates from the Washington Wizards’ jerseys. During his two year stint as a Washington Wizard, Jordan had his ups and downs, but the one thing we know for sure is that it highly influenced who he is today.
