Just two days ago we presented our readers with a look at two pairs of the Louis Vuitton Sunlight expected to release in time for this holiday season. But the brand’s efforts to take more steps into the sneaker culture do not end there- as most of us could have guessed. To that extent, we’re here to pass on to you news of five pairs of the Louis Vuitton Street Sneaker also slated to release as part of the brand’s winter of 2009 collection. Two pairs come in a black/white colorway with damier embossed patent/calf leather- one in a low-top model and the other in a high-top “boot” one. The other three pairs come in black/white, white/black, and cocoa; all also sporting monogram embossed calf leather with the “LV” logo on the entire upper while sitting on completely white soles. While Nike worked with Kanye West on the Air Yeezy model, the brand has been immensely successful for a long time without him- and will continue to be so. Now, the Louis Vuitton brand seems out to prove the same as it introduces the Sunlight sneakers pictured here, hoping they’ll do well despite not having Kanye West’s official stamp of approval. Releasing this holiday season with red and with blue accents, the pairs of the Sunlight sneaker sport both mesh, leather, and suede. Thanks in large part to its collaboration with rapper Kanye West, the Louis Vuitton brand has made a HUGE splash this year- and as you can see by these pictures, the hooplah seems much deserved. Now that it gears up for releases from its Fall/Winter Collection, the Louis Vuitton brand has been apparently very busy with another sleek sneaker model. Pictured here is a low-top sneaker that the brand has chosen to add a strap to over the shoelaces. In a predominantly black upper made of both leather and suede, this shoe also sports blue stitching and shoelaces. As we move into Fall/Winter season, be sure to check in with your local Louis Vuitton retailers to see if it’ll have these babies for purchase.

Paris based fashion website LA MJC recently directed this exclusive photoshoot featuring exclusive photos of Kanye West and his collection with Louis Vuitton. The images present each shoe clearly; and what’s clear is, is that each design reeks of quality and elegant detailing. Materials include rich suedes, nylon, and premium leathers. La MJC also conducted an interview with ‘Ye on his exclusive line, which Eugene Kan at Hypebeast translated here. The Kanye West x Louis Vuitton line will release later this year.

Kanye West’s line of men’s sneakers for luxury brand Louis Vuitton aka Louis Vuitton Dons has reportedly shipped to stores and has a release date of July 1st. Sadly the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Women’s sneakers featured by on his blog back in January 09 seems to never made it past the sample room floor. Wonder why his women’s shoe didn’t make it into production. I wasn’t in love with the sample, not a huge fan of a tassel, but ladies like their luxury sneaks too. What really would be hot is if Kanye did a matching bag and sneaker! Maybe the shoe will be released once Louis Vuitton gages how well the men’s line does. The Kanye West x Louis Vuitton line for men is pricey, ranging from $975-$1140.

With the release of his first signature sneaker, the Nike Air Yeezy, Kanye West has become a key figure in the footwear scene. Though his high-top Nike sneaker was met with great success, West has decided to release five low-top sneakers that are all definitely on the higher end of the fashion accessories spectrum. Louis Vuitton will release two models with Kanye West: the LV Don and the LV Jasper. The Don will release in a white/grey style, grey/pink style, and a black/black style which will retail for $990, $1140, and $990, respectively. The Jasper will be available in two colorways for around $975: a red on red style, and a white/purple-brown style. Be sure to stay tuned for any updates on the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton collection.
