Sole-Supremacy-Sheds-Light-on-Early-Releases

We’ve discussed numerous topics on our weekly discussion threads here at SneakerFiles.

From resellers to early release sites, we have discussed many intriguing topics together. Our friends at Sole Supremacy have a detailed explanation on some of those topics available for you to read at this time. They dive head first into the early release situation and the information may have you thinking twice about purchasing early release products.

Many already have issues with certain early sellers, not receiving their purchase or even receiving flawed products. Many of us have no clue just how low the costs are for these ‘sellers’ stock and then sell them to you, the customer, for nearly triple the price they paid for non authorized products.

If you have the time and would like to be enlightened, feel free to click HERE and read the entire story. Let us know your thoughts on the subject as well once you’re through.

  1. i loved the article. it was very enlightening. i agree with a lot of the opinions the author expressed, especially about the motive of the people who “have” to have the kicks 6 months early.

  2. thanks very informative..if do buy online and not on eastbay i will cop off rmk, footalog or kix-files. that said i have no interest for reasons said of paying super above retail for a maybe a b grade product…just my opinion. why risk when i have peeps in corp that i know will get shoes on RD and i do not have to camp! thanks for article!

  3. This really shed light on something I knew for a long time now. I was never a fan of getting the sneaker early because I didn’t see the need. Now that I know the facts it just convinced me more that it’s not worth it.

  4. KILLS ME IVE BEEN IN THE GAME 10YRS PLUS…
DID ANYONE GET A PERFECT PAIR OF THE YOTR JORDAN 7?
    JORDAN 4 MARS….SCUFFS
    JORDAN 13 2004 GLUE??
I CAN GO ON BUT ALL BOUGHT WITH FOOTLOCKER
FINISH LINE ETC…I LOVE THE KICKS
    BUT TO EACH IS OWN…..

  5. Just imagine hitting the block in your hood with the Concords 4 months in advanced…….. that feeling is what some sneaker addicts like myself live for. willing to pay the extra $ to “stunt” life is short enjoy it.. also think what if you never live To see December 23 2011 release date??

    1. i see your point, but you also gotta think is it a matter of vanity? if you feel the need to pay so much more extra for the shoes just to have people stare at you then you’re buying the shoes for the wrong reasons anyway…. and if you do die like you said so whats the point either way when you ain’t taking the shoes witchu? just my opinion i don’t see the necessity to go out of your way and drop so much extra $$ cuz you can’t wait.

  6. Nice read. Very interesting. I have never purchased from any to the pre-release sites because the flaws are evident in the pics that they post. Yet people still hype them up. One pic given by marqueesole clearly showed the AJ XI with a flimsy and sqaushed back panel. However, it wasn’t pointed out because the flow of the thread was “MUST COP”! SMH!

  7. I think I might be one of the few who got exactly what I wanted. I got the Space Jams for basically under 300 around October. If you remember, the Space Jams released Xmas eve. Mine was in perfect condition. Everything lined up perfectly, the leather was silky smooth, and the sole was mint. I don’t regret paying the 300 because look how hard it was to cop on Xmas eve. I got mine in advance and I still paid what everyone is still paying to this day for them. But I know I got lucky and I wont do the same for the Concords.

And BTW, Jordan Brand, you cannot release these to Washington DC. People will get murdered for them like the foams. If I was president of JB, I would rather have an angry few collectors who didn’t get their concords, rather than read the news about how 7 people in DC got murked for their Concords. I like sleeping at night.

  8. I’ve bought early releases and haven’t had any problems. You just need to deal with the right people. If worst comes to worst just make sure you pay with a cc via PayPal that way if PayPal doesn’t help you your cc will make sure you get your money back. No risks if you play the game right!

Regarding the “Restock”, they are good to go! You guys have to think outside the box.

So 2010 size tag makes them fake? Let them have the 09 production date, are they real now?

Shoes are made from authentic materials and made at Nike factories don’t give me the talk about QC.

I bought some foams from FTL and they had excess glue on the toe. QC doesn’t make a difference.

Nike is running sweat shops these guys need to make their money some how.

    Yellowed Soles < Icy Soles.
