Japanese retailer Beams has been busy this year; and, often times, it has had to do with collaborative efforts. One such effort was the one with Puma on the Faas 500 “Disc Blaze.” With half of a month left until December, the two sides are once again joining forces. The silhouette of choice to work on this time is the Faas Blaze. Yes, the Puma Blaze gets Faas sole treatment; and, the colorway, pictured here, is an attractive black leather and suede mix with purple and shiny blue accents that will remind us of the commemorative Sony Playstation sneakers. There is also an alternate colorway that uses different shades of grey, if that’s more to your liking. A release time is set for next month.

Iconic footwear brand, Clarks, has teamed up with Japanese brand Beams to produce the exclusive BEAMS x Clarks Originals Desert Boot.

For fans of the Desert Boot, the Beams collaboration should come as something truly special with the use of its premium grade orange suede upper, fine tonal stitching with matching laces, and Clarks’ famous crepe sole. Just in time for the fall/winter 2011 season, you can dress to impress by cleaning the boot up with wool, plaid, a nice pair of denim, and even a Harris Tweed sport coat for the occasional gentleman.

Almost a month ago we showed you a Jamaica-themed Faas 300 Jam sneaker design from the Puma team. The Faas collection is quickly gaining momentum and catching the eyes of several runners/trainers who are looking for the newest and best technology in performance sneakers. But Puma will not settle for its Faas line being known only stateside. That said, the brand has since teamed up with Japanese retailer Beams to release a Faas 500 with the “Disc Blaze System” theme along the all-black upper. Beams branding can be seen on the strap that hangs from the middle of the shoe, while Puma branding is seen implemented to an all-white sole. These are expected to release soon exclusively from Beams and other select Puma stockists.

With all the buzz surrounding Reebok’s Pump 20th Anniversary Collection, many of us had forgotten about the Beams x Reebok Pump Fury collaboration models we previewed at the start of the month. Featuring a tonal upper in either Green or Orange, and the faintest hit of White on the Pump mechanisms, the models have slipped under the radar and made their way into stores. Vans and Beams have initiated their most recent collaboration that includes two SK8-Hi’s designed by artist Jim Phillips. The collaboration consists of two color-ways, checkerboard and black/white, each features famous characters designed by Jim Phillips.
