For the latest installment of The Berrics’ Footnotes series, the park highlights Steve Caballero as Vans celebrates the 20th anniversary of Caballero’s signature Half Cab.
Here, in part 1, Vans senior footwear developer Bunny Caminiti and VP Steve Van Doren touch on the original high-top signature and its modification into a mid-top skate shoe by various skaters – ultimately influencing Vans to create a production version of the Half Cab. Finally, head designer Nate Iott speaks on the 20th anniversary of the kicks before Caballero himself shows off various memorabilia.
