In 2008, Bape released a Spongebob-themed version of the Bapesta. World-renowned Hypebeast Pharrell Williams was just spotted with an unreleased Squarepants version that features a croc leather upper and gum bottom. It’s more than likely that Pharrell’s pair of A Bathing Ape Croc SpongeBob Bapestas will never hit shelves. Via BBC.

  20. Bapes are exclusive and very expensive so that is the primary reason why you would not see someone in the "hood" rocking them. Excluding the idiots that rock those "bootleg" bapes they get from ebay. The Bapes are cool, but the purple man purse is not.

  23. Yo! He do dress childesh but hey… He probably just doing all the things now that he wasn't able to do when he was a kid. I look at it like that because everyone always has that 1 thing they wish they could have had or done as a child that Pharrell just probably making up for lost time.
