The news follows the announcement of the “Invisibility Cloak” Kobe 7 Protro returning in 2027.
The Nike Kobe “Halo” series debuted in 2023 with the release of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Halo”, an all-white colorway created in collaboration with Vanessa Bryant to honor Kobe Bryant’s birthday on August 23. The collection was introduced as an annual tribute to Kobe’s legacy, with each release featuring a clean, all-white look across different models from his signature line.
In 2024, Nike expanded the series with three versions of the Kobe 9 Protro “Halo”: the Elite High, Elite Low, and EM. The series expanded again in 2025 with the Kobe 3 Protro “Halo”, which received performance updates including a full-length Zoom Strobel, Cushlon 3.0 cushioning, and improved traction.
