The Nike KD 8 ‘Bible’ ties his faith in God, his favorite bible verse and his new nickname, ‘The Servant’.
Part of his favorite bible verse is Matthew 11:29 which is “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls”. There is more to the verse, but this is what’s shown on the insole.
The ‘Bible’ Nike KD 8 also features angels through the uppers in shades of grey that resemble stone. The outsole features a shade of orange running throughout. The last touch lands on the inside of the tongue which references the verse, “M11:29”.
Just like the Redskins KD 8, the ‘Bible’ Nike KD 8 doesn’t have a release date, nor is it known at this time if they will release. For now you can see a couple more images below and make sure to check back for additional details.
Update: During All Star Weekend, the Nike KD 8 ‘The Servant’ sample was spotted giving us another look. Taken by kustoo, the pair was expected to release but was scrapped.
