While most of us are aware of the Baron Davis Li-Ning signature sneaker series, he is not the only NBA player in a contract with the Chinese sneaker company. In fact, you can now add Toronto Raptors point guard Jose Calderon to the list of NBA ballers with their own Li-Ning PE. Pictured here is number 8’s Li-Ning PE in a black/red colorway. It dons the Spanish point guard’s number 8 on the inside ankle area, while a small depiction of Calderon in his patented 3 fingers pose fills the top of the shoe’s tongue. Finally, the Li-Ning team pays homage to Calderon’s hometown of Spain by placing a silhouette of the country’s flag underneath the shoe’s sole. With no word of a stateside release, here are pictures of the shoe that might or might not make its way to the U.S. If you had the chance to, would you be inclined to try out a pair?

As many of our followers might know, Baron Davis and Brandon Jennings are not the only players in a sneaker contract with a less popular brand, (Li-Ning and Under Armour, respectively). Ron Artest joined the Peak brand a few years back, and now there are shots of the baller’s signature basketball sneaker- although they are not in the Los Angeles Lakers colorway. These come in a predominantly white base with sky blue stitching as well as black on the heel and Peak logo. Moreover, there is a snakeskin pattern on the midsole and Xcel-U label going down the tongue and underneath the shoe. Lastly, these come in a box with the words “I CAN PLAY” on it, leading many to almost inevitably nickname these the “I Can Play.” What do you guys think of what Peak has cooked up for Ron Artest? Let us know after the jump, and check out more pictures of this shoe.

Earlier today we caught word of BMX rider Rick Thorne getting his own signature shoe series with the Draven brand. Now, thanks to Bike Reviews, we have a look at the holiday 2009 collection of four pairs of the Osiris South Bronx, all of which are suited to help the everyday rider feel comfortable/secure and call attention to something other than just their tricks. The colorways included are black/black, black/grey, black/sky blue/royal blue, and elephant purple/black/teal. A word of advice- probably because the South Bronx is a rather padded shoe, it tends to run small enough to make you think about purchasing your pair(s) 1/2 a size bigger than usual. Each pair will cost you $78.
