For the Holiday season, Nike Skateboarding and The Powerpuff Girls will connect to release the Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low “Buttercup” in December 2023. This pair is one of three releasing from the cartoon show.

In 1998, The Powerpuff Girls aired for the first time on Cartoon Network. Craig McCracken, the creator of the show, first launched “Whoopass Stew!” in 1992, featuring the three girls. Following the name change to Powerpuff Girls, Craig submitted his short film to Cartoon Network, eventually giving him the green light for a full series. The Powerpuff Girls would run for six seasons, with the final episode airing in 2005. Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the show, we have a special collaboration between the Powerpuff Girls and Nike SB. This pair is inspired by the character Buttercup, whose expertise is strength and combat skills. Releasing in December 2023 is The Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low “Buttercup”.
Buttercup isn’t the only character from the Powerpuff Girls to receive her own Nike SB Dunk Low. Launching alongside her pair, we have the Blossom and Bubbles renditions.
Featuring a Mean Green, Black, and Lotus Pink color combination. This Nike SB Dunk Low comes with Green across the upper with a shiny finish. We also have the signature mesh tongues and perforations across the toe box. Blue fills in the Swoosh logos, midsole, and laces, while 3M reflective accents run throughout. Nike SB branding adorns the tongue labels in the show’s font with “Buttercup” underneath. Blossom also represents “Everything Nice” in the cartoon’s slogan (Sugar, Space, and Everything Nice), so her logo lands on the inside of the right tongue. On the heels, we have her large Green eyes and mouth just below. Other details include cartoon fighting bubbles on the insoles with their enemy, Mojo Jojo, and a Green translucent rubber outsole.
