adidas by Raf Simons will launch a new footwear range inspired by the painting technique of trompe-l’oeil which is French for ‘deceive the eye.’
Using five models from the adidas Original archive: Micropacer (released 1984-88), the LA Trainer (1979-80), the Torsion Conquest Super (1990-92), the Samba (1962-67), and the Peachtree (1985). Each pair is then photographed and 3-D modeled to fit the two styles. Giving them a vintage feel, each pair features random stains, exposed glue and wear-and-tear.
You can expect the Raf Simons Stan Smith to release at select retailers and online at adidas.com on April 12th. The RS Adilette will debut on May 17th.
