Created by a sneaker enthusiasts, the Official Sole Saver has all of us in mind, creating a device guiding damage prevention for the soles of your sneakers. The people over at Official Sole Saver gave us some samples to try out and test, here is what we thought.

For everyday walking, the Official Sole Saver is great. Not only does it do the job its intended for, but it grips the ground and you do not have to worry about slippage. We did hit the courts with the Official Sole Saver, but we found out shortly that was not a good idea. While running, you would easily slip.

We were told that a athletic version would release soon, but for everyday wear, and keeping your soles fresh, the Official Sole Saver is a great addition to your daily routine. Available now [Here].

  1. only 1 thing i worry about… like the extra stick that gets left over that happens after you take out a sticker of some sort. you know what im talkin bout ?

  2. Great idea which none of us would of thought of!

However, that won't save the creases on any sneaker.

I know someone invented that sh!tty shoe tree for air forces, but can someone come up with an actual invention to prevent creases!!!

  3. Great idea, that promo ran just a little bit too long though lol. I thought they were going to show him going to his grandmothers house in a minute.

That could have been edited down to 30 seconds and still been effective.

  4. prevent creases ??? lol naturally the shoe will crease regardless .. dont be foolish man .. its a shoe. wanna prevent creases do not step in the shoe and when you get them dont open the box, just tape the thing up and store it somewhere.. alot of people who own older collectibles notice natural wear even when the shoe isnt touched.. its oxygen and age .. aspects we can not avoid what so ever .. good thought tho.. but to have a shoe till you 55+ years old and say hey i got these in 92.. lol just really pointless..

  5. Its called 'contact' you use it to cover books. Why stop at clear – go get some crazy holographic ones.

  6. John-Paul is beyond a moron I bought those wearable shoe trees and they work perfect recommend them to everyone really stops most creasing….

  7. Really overdose in my opinion and really only caters to basketball shoes with really flat bottoms.

Put those on an air max 1 sole and get laughed at.

  8. I would like to thnak everyone for posting their opinions of the product. I know not everyone will be able to appreciate what this product is and what it does, my website states this fact. I know I'm not the only one on the planet who has pulled out a hot shoe that they bought months or even years before and on the first wear stepped in gum or something else. For the younger cats in the shoe game I also remember saving lunch money, getting a job to buy shoes, or going half with parents. My thought is why not have what you worked hard to get last as long as you can.

Not everyone can buy doubles or pay above retail because they missed something. I used to beleive whole heartedly in keeping shoes DS. Either the shoe will degrade in your closet or on your feet. If you chose the latter how about slowing the process.

One last thing. For people who sea glow you go through this long process to get your soles clean then wear them again to mess them up. Why not lengthen the cleanliness of your shoes.

I know, "they're just shoes" , "stupidest thing ever" , "penis" , and all that. But if your tired of dirty soles on any color shoe there's an option.

Wait until the 6/17 pack comes out. Unless you can float or got alot of money Carmines are in trouble.

Don't Do Damage Control, Do Damage Prevention

  9. i say all the people who r picking at the problems with this product should shut up, of course its not perfect but it will help a lot and its damn ingenius im goin to get plenty to save a lot of my kix that i really don't feel like getting dirty, shit the other day i wore my mist 4's to school and got gum on the bottum of them, and it won't work for every shoe but it will for a lot so quit ur bitchin about the problems and just see that this is a good product that can help keep our precious kix a lil fresher a lil longer

  10. $9.00 for these OR buy a new pair at resell prices? Everybody don't have the money Michael has……..

  11. to prevent creases:

in footlocker they sell a toe box insole that prevents creases. there called Force Fields. They go for about $10

    but there very effective.

  12. Sounds like a good idea but $9 bucks is crazy. rather use that towards some decreasers. just do what I do clean my js after wearing them especially after school.

  13. see nobody gets the point. everything is going to crease and ice bottoms will turn yellow. it just comes down to how uch you love your sneakers. of course you cant put theese on every kick but really how many air max 1s got ice bottoms? do you want your kicks yellow after five wears or five years. Dig?

  14. I have 115 pairs of shoes. I invented the product and don't wear it on every shoe, but there are shoes that I will. Examples are xvi's, year of pig dunks, MF DOOMS, and anything else I PERSONALLY LIKE. There are a lot cats in the shoe game that do what the leader says. Do what you feel, buy what you like, and protect what you want. If you have dough enough to destroy a shoe and replace it, do it. If you like your shoe degrading in the closet because you scared to wear it, do it.

Official Sole Saver is a viable option, that is it. People resell shoes everyday. I would rather buy a used shoe from someone who kept them as clean as possilbe than from someone who did not. I would spend more money on dudes shoe that kept them clean than other wise.

I'm always getting "why not wear bags on your shoes", "shoes are meant to be worn" and "retarded idea" etc. Money is meant to be spent but we save it. Everything that is man made will degrade and there is always something man made to slow it down. Official Sole Saver is that for shoes

  15. people stop complainin about the price its called profit thats how they make money like how the recent jordan cost over 130 when the qualities are barely better than well made fakes

^^but to have a shoe till you 55+ years old and say hey i got these in 92.. lol just really pointless..^^

Good point, qp. I never thought of it that way. but there are so many shoes I wished I would have gotten multiples of like the Dee Browns, Jordan Vs, XIs, XIIs, even XIIIs. I guess that's what retros are for.

  17. Ray P:

Sure this looks like a good product, but what happens to the "sticky stuff" after you peel the protector off? I mean, if the protector sticks to the shoe, isn't there some sort of gluey residue left over like a product label on a glass jar?

    What about that?

  18. TechNutt there would mild be residue if product is left on the shoe longer than advertised. I won't pretend like there wouldn't. In initial test the product was left on shoes for a month to a month and a half. There was adhesive transference but nothing significant and nothing the could not be easily wiped away. The packaging addresses applying and removal.

I said that the product was good for one to two wears to lessen adhesive transfer. Technically you could wear it for as long as you would like, but for extremely limited to no transfer one to two wears does the trick.

  19. RayP, thanks for being honest. This is a good product to consider but the price would have to be dramatically less in order for it to be truly successful amongst Jordan/Nike shoe enthusiasts. I would like to see these be like $3-4 range before I would even consider it, honestly.

But thanks for all the great info. Best of luck!

  20. LMAO@ this

yo we been puttin tape on our soles since like the mid 90's. this aint nothin revolutionary. we used to use contact paper, EB green, electrical tape, i mean c'mon, whoever said this was genius is a fool. why would i spend $9 when all i gotta do is throw some tape on my soles for almost FREE and get the same exact effect.

and then u got homeboy talkin about those HARD AZZ SHOE TREES!!! OMG another idiot idea (lol stolen idea at that) them things is like bricks, i grew the biggest corn of my life wearing that POS. anyway shoetree stole the idea from gourmetkickz TheDecreaser anyways, hekk, so did footlockers whack azz version. seems like since gourmetkickz came with the decreaser, people just tryin to "invent" something for preventing sneaker wear or BITE and COPY the same idea.

man…. imma "invent" the pre-knotted shoelace, now aint that "genius" lol

    fools! geeesh

  21. heads need to think outside the box. quit all the speculation and try the product. see for yourself. there is nothing foolish about. the way I see it, these cats are honest about what they're doing….which is ultimately helping all of us shoeheads keep our kicks a lil fresher. real talk

  22. Dazzmo, it is true you can wear contact tape o the soles of your shoes, but why would you do that when there is a product ot there made specific for the use. More than likely this product is not for you. And yes there are plenty of previous ideas in line with this very one but have you seen any that have been made readily available to the public specific for shoe cleanliness in this fashion. Everything you see around you has been done before, from music, to clothing, to food etc. The thing is everything evolves. Im sure some individuals think its wack to put boat cleaner on your shoes, or use comet or other abrsasive means of cleaning shoes. I'm not forcing my product on any one. If you'v seen my business cards they clearly state that official sole saver is an option.

This is another thing to keep in mind. Not every person cares for their shoes the same and everybody does not have money to replace damaged shoes. Beyond those points every single person has varying feelings attached as to why they love, like and want to preserve a shoe.

I knew in the conception of this product and the future evolution of this same product, that it was ver niche specific. Before the invent of this prodcut I would never thought about wearing my cool grey xi's, concords, space jams, and other shoes one cares for. And there will be ever up and coming releases that would in my eyes warrant the official sole saver with the purple foams and 1/2 cents coming to my mind (I reside in the DMV metro area).

All I can say is keep your mind open to new and inventive ideas or improvemetns on old ones.

And for all the HATERS out there THANK YOU. You all push me to do and be better.

Official Sole Saver-my contribution to the shoe game that has given me so much.

    WHAT WILL YOUR CONTRIBUTION BE?

Dont Do Damage Control, Do Damage Prevention

  23. I think this is a great idea, and for 9$ its not bad considering you’ll be able to wear your favorite shoe without damage. im pretty sure a little soap and water would take off any glue residue after taking off. im sure gonna buy a couple, i wanna wear my air jordan 1 1985 W/R deadstocks when i get married next year, these will help keep bottoms new.. BTW when i clock on the link to order i get an error, anyone know where i can get it? link??? website? thanks
