With time, technology will always advance and the way we use something today could change tomorrow. Nike is once again pushing the limits as a patent was recently awarded that could further advance the NikeiD department.
The patent you may ask? According to the images and the information, it will allow users to design sneakers with virtual reality goggles. Also holding a stylus pen, this could be to easily swap colors or materials used. There is also the possibility that the new virtual reality goggles could be for Nike designers.
We can only imagine this being for in-store use only as virtual reality headsets don’t run cheap. It goes to show that Nike is trying to stay ahead of the competition. Once more information is leaked, we will let you know.
