Back in Lebron James’ second NBA season, Nike came up with a marking campaign to bolster and promote Lebron’s Nike Zoom Lebron II line.ย In the campaign Nike depicted King James doing battle with theย 5 stages representing his common โenemiesโ – โHypeโ, โTemptationโ, โHatersโ, โComplacencyโ and โSelf-doubtโ. These 5 stages together were entitled the “Chamber of Fear” and the various advertisements drew inspiration and paid homage to the various film styles that were prevalent in Asia during the 1970s,ย mainly Kung-Fu and Anime. Soon after,ย Nike released an extremelyย limited number of the various Chamber of Fear packs.
Here we have the ultra rare sample of theย “Haters” edition from the Chamber of Fear packs. The overall orange color of the shoes is complemented with white, which make the orange in the shoes pop more. The inside sole of the shoes have “Haters” written on it with its translation into Japanese calligraphy. It is also important to note that both the tongue and the heel have “Nike” embossed on itย instead of the King James lion head, which is now seen on the more recentย Nike Zoom Lebron releases.ย ย More pics after the jump.
