Over the past several years, Nike Basketball has launched special pairs of the Kobe line to celebrate Christmas, and for the Holiday 2025 season, the brand will keep the tradition going. We received exclusive details that the “Christmas” Nike Kobe 3 Protro will be released. Highlighted in Royal Pulse, the shoes will come in a new color scheme.

In 2007, when the Kobe 3 was released, Kobe Bryant wore the model on Christmas Day against the Phoenix Suns. Kobe Bryant was wearing a Lakers colorway that was a player exclusive. For the 2025 launch, the blocking will be different, as will the colors used.

This Nike Kobe 3 is dressed in a Royal Pulse, Chrome, and White color scheme. Going over the shoes, it features a semi-translucent cage overlay with mesh across the base. Shades of Blue and White appear on the toe, resembling icicles. In addition, the tongue branding and Swoosh on the heel are iridescent. Other details include a Blue translucent midsole and outsole with a Yellow Swoosh and carbon fiber plate.

The Protro release of the Kobe 3 will feature an upgrade. The original Kobe 3 release is constructed with separate Zoom units in the heel and forefoot. However, the Protro rendition comes with a full-length articulated Zoom Strobel.
