Nike Dunk SB Low Piet Mondrian

Small pictures of the Nike Dunk SB Low Piet Mondrian appeared months ago, but displayed little detail. Here’s a look at the new Dunk SB Low inspired by Dutch artist Pieter (Piet) Cornelis Mondrian. With the new pictures, it is evident that nubuck and canvas will be featured alongside bold outlines around the panels and toe box. Via ct.

  2. i have a horrible feeling that these are going to be kids shoes – either way i'm buying them. Mondrian is a huge inspiration to my artwork so these are a must. BTW i also dig Basquiat and bought all his sneakers made by reebok in teh last 3 years.

  3. now for the non artists who don't seem to like these, u mite wanna look up Piet Mondrian, one of the great artists to pick up a brush, now i'm an art student and artist in training lol, and i LOVE these shoes, i'm definately coppin and imma design a Mondrian t- shirt, mainly based on his "Composition with yellow, blue, and red" painting, that in which the SB's are also based on….if u didn't know that already ;D

I just may customize some dunk highs in honor of Mondrian's "Broadway Boogie Woogie" painting..ha ha..sickness!

  4. these are alright i wouldnt mind getting pair

  8. These are aiite but i gotta disagree with drew these would be sik wit blue but hew we all got our style but evrything else he said was true but wat about black bro? i say blaks just neutral

  9. Just so you all understand, Mondrian would never lend his name to this product. The use of red, blue, and yellow and black lines does not make these shoes ‘de stijl’. Mondrian refused to use curved lines believing that “the straight line tells the truth.” Really, the basic shape of a shoe prohibits this from working but Nike doesn’t even try in the design. And compositional balance is severely lacking. There is obviously more to it but that should suffice for this purpose.

The point being, do not buy this cheap ploy.
