Nike Air Pippen I (1) Retro Black / Varsity Red - White

Nike is continuing to pump out the classics, with the long awaited Retro Nike Air Pippen 1 in Black / Varsity Red – White. The image shows us that the Retro looks identical to the Original Nike Air Pippen 1, which we confirmed sometime ago.

The Nike Pippen 1 Retro Black / Varsity Red – White will hit stores in August 2008 with a retail price of $160. A lot of people have emailed on this pair, so I am sure this will excite many.

  2. i like these. very subtle and low key. i would get these and make them my daily wear as well as the charles barkley max tempo 2's. comfortable, low profile, and very stylish when fresh out of the box. you have to keep em clean tho or else shoes like these lose value fast.

  8. classic and these pippens actually did sell very well a grail to most and pippen did like these shoes accept for the air bubble being to big he a pair same color and model except less midsole by a slight

  16. These are just as great as they were when they were originally released. Pippen had his modified to have the air sole removed and added encapsuled zoom air in its place… he liked the lighter more low profile feel rather than the "bulky" full length air sole. BUT they just arent the same sneaker if you remove the air sole… its one of the things that made this shoe sell just as fast as the AJ XII. I remember seeing more ppl with these than Jordans that year. Not sure if I will sop just yet though, Still have like 4-5 more packages to get ahold of and I need those white/red XX3 too. So many kicks on such a tight budget, so hard to choose!!!

  17. What is UNLIMITEDFUTWEAR talkin about? I'm not sure he has even seen Pip play, judging from his comment. Pip is one of tha 50 GREATEST to play tha game, he could defend anyone from tha 1 to tha 5, and maybe you didn't see how he got down during tha famous flu game. Yes, he was a sidekick, but he was MJ's sidekick. Not jus anyone could be MJ's sidekick. You gotta think, MJ played some years before Pip even showed up. Dont you think he woulda found a sidekick by then? But watch some old games they were tha ultimate one-two punch. I'll gladly pay 160 for those. I paid jus about that for my weak ass XV's.

  21. UNLIMITEDFUTWEAR, He may have been a sidekick but look up the stats man. Offensively not as good as Jordan but the man could defend like no other. Just like The Lone Ranger and Tonto, The lone ranger would have gotten his A$$ kicked if he didn't have Tonto. Same applies here, the Bulls didn't ride on Jordan alone, Pull up the championship teams and you'll see they were a powerhouse if you're to young to have watched them play.

    And $160??? I'll wait for the outlets!

  23. Those Pippens were so fresh! Im glad they are bringing them back, although Im focusing on the CD Packs/XX3s rather than other kicks.

    I also agree with lupintha3rd and IHEARTNIKE. Pippen is a HUGE reason the Bulls won all their championships. Hell, for all the gear/kicks MJ sells, Scottie should get a slice of that pie. I remember specifically in the Eastern Conference Finals that no one could stop Mark Jackson with that back em down/guard post move he always did……not until they put Scottie on his ass and then it was OVA! There is no way MJ minus Scottie equals more than 3 championships. Actually, it would probably be less….more like 1 or 2.

    Btw, I believe the NBA implemented the back down rule of only like 5 seconds in length b/c of Mark Jackson…..but I may be wrong.

  24. ^^^^^ PIPPEN WAS WHACK. HE PLAYED WIT HALL OF FAMERS AFTER HE LEFT THE BULLS AND WENT NO WHERE. FIRST WHEN HE WAS ON THE BLAZERS, WIT STEVE SMITH, RASHEED WALLACE, DAMON STOUDEMIRE, JERMAINE ONEAL THEY HAD STAFF. THEN WHEN HE WENT TO THE ROCKETS WIT CHARLES BARKLEY, OLAJUWON, DREXLER, AND HE DID NOTHIN. IF HE WAS AS GOOD AS YOU SAID HE WOULD HAVE ONE AT LEAST 1 RING WIT THOSE TEAMS.

  26. bcus lil kids are buying resold SBs for $200 plus then NIKE feels it okay to re release shoes at a minimun of $15O. Blame the Burbs, blame the City Kids, blame even teh sneakerheads – when we all pass on a major release and NIEK makes note, maybe it'll change but That will never happen.
