The Nike Air Max Plus “Sunset” is an original colorway of the Air Max Plus that will return in 2024.
In 1998, Nike released the Air Max Plus, designed by Sean McDowell. In 2017, he shared information on the inspiration in which the three original colorways captivated different phases of the sky, including the evening, night, and sunrise. We would eventually receive the “Sunset” Air Max Plus, a classic in its own right. Retros have been released throughout the years, including different models inspired by the theme. But for those who want to pick up a fresh pair, the “Sunset” rendition will return in 2024.

This retro rendition of the Nike Air Max Plus comes dressed in a Black, Pimento, Bright Ceramic, Resin, and White color combination. Highlighted with Black TPU overlays inspired by the swaying palm trees in the breeze, mesh adorns the base with an Orange gradient for the sun. Furthering the beach theme, the mid-foot shank plate resembles a whale’s tail with an Orange-to-Black gradient. Other details include Orange within the Air Max unit, White on the midsole, and a Black rubber outsole.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Sunset” is part of Nike’s Fall 2024 collection. You can expect a release to take place at select retailers, including Nike.com, between July and September 2024.
