Sometime back we featured artist Matthew Senna. If you missed the article, he would take a pair of Air Jordan’s and cover them in bronze making them a true piece of art, yet they are not wearable. Great to put on the mantle, and a good conversation starter.
Senna actually created a gold Air Jordan 1 for Common as a pre-oscar gift. As you know, Common went on to win an oscar with John Legend for the song “Glory”.
It has to be an honor for both Senna and Common, as one won an Oscar and the other created a piece of art for the Chicago artist. We wonder if the Gold Air Jordan 1 will be next to his other accomplishments.
