Jordan Brand has had some releases that point to Looney Tunes characters, but none as of yet for Space Jam. Converse is now the first brand to drop two pairs representing the movie.
The two Space Jam inspired releases are the Converse Aero Jam and Converse Weapon. The pack is actually called “Space Invader Pack” to legally cover themselves but us sneakerheads know.
First up we have the Aero Jam that represents the Monstar’s, a shoe that was worn by Larry Johnson. In the movie, the Monstar’s took Johnson’s talent and played again Michael Jordan and the Looney Tunes. Suede is presented on the upper with two shades of purple.
On to the Converse Weapon Mid that was made for Marvin the Martian who was the referee of the game. A nubuck upper is used with green and black being the main colors used. Purple is on the lining and comes with two sets of laces and a glow in the dark sole.
