Sorry for the article not posted earlier, we had some technical difficulties.
Welcome to the 2007 DunkXChange Chicago Edition. This is the DXC’s first time in Chicago in the home of Michael Jordan and the Chicago bulls.
My first experience at the DXC was really impressive. They had a wide variety of sneakers of almost every brand. From sneakers to clothes and toys. The DXC was a huge event for sneakerheads in Chicago. In attendance was a lot of well known Chicago sneaker heads such as flip jays, flint grey, chi town air, and many more.
Curtis, Co-Founder of the DXC says, “we’re trying to wake the sneaker culture in Chicago and put it on the map. We’ve been in NY, Miami and The Bay Area and basically, Miami was a sleeper. They got a lot of sneaker heads out there but no one was coming out so we did an event there and it was crazy so that’s what were trying to accomplish with Chicago”
The DXC was really impressive for its first time being there. A lot of Chicago natives came out as well as other people from NY like Rebelaire aka Nelson, who does custom kicks.
For those who haven’t been at the DXC, it is an event where all the sneakerheads sharing the same culture come together and buy, trade or sell sneakers in a safe environment not having to worry about fakes coming in the building or even vendors selling fakes.
The DXC isn’t only kicks says Curtis, “from east to west coast we got guys that sell ps3’s, belt buckles, shirts, hats, even gold-chains and anywhere form the newest and hottest releases, the most rarest shoes or stuff you couldn’t get back in the day. We got people that give deals that are 40-50$ less for the cats that cant afford kicks like that”
