Back in October we caught wind of Jordan Brand’s plans to release two pairs of the Air Jordan I AJKO. Now, detailed images have reached the internet of the white/varsity red-black pair of the Air Jordan I AJKO retro release slated to drop this summer. These high-resolution pictures show pretty clearly the vintage feel the AJKO retros will have thanks primarily to the dirtied look applied on the sole and classic canvas upper that will surely please several OG Jordanheads. Enjoy the pictures after the jump, and let us know how you feel about this phase of Jordan Brand’s plans to celebrate the twenty five years that have passed since the first Air Jordan I sneaker started it all off.

  1. THE REASON IT LOOK DIRTY IN THE SOLE IS BECAUSE ITS A DIRTIED RETRO LOOK, WHICH GIVES THE SHOE A VINTAGE FEEL, I RATHER HAVE THEM LOOK LIKE THIS THAN A CLEAN WHITE SOLE, BECUZZ IT LOOKS OLD SCHOOL AND BAD AZZ…

  2. Damn There Nice But The Bottom Sole Is Different Then The Ogs Smh Damn They Would Have Been Perfect If It Had The Og Sole On It Instead.

  3. not really feelin the vintage look wish dey wer cleen but dey styll look sexc asz shyt i styll gotz ma og pair

  4. THIS IS A DEF. COPP. THE VINTAGE LOOK IS HOTT…MAYBE A LIL OUT DATED BUT STILL DOPE. THERE HAVE BEEN SO MANY JORDANS 1'S RELEASED IN THIS COLORWAY OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS THAT THE WORE LOOK GIVES IT SOME KICK. SO FAR IT LOOKS LIKE A BETTER YEAR FOR JB THEN ITS BEEN IN A WHILE. THERES MORE THAN 1 SHOE TO LOOK FORWARD TO THIS YEAR.

  5. Hopefully the final design just has the sole as an overall yellowed look rather than looking like some1 took 'em through 9 innings. And tha dirty bottom is a little too far. Still will prolly cop tho

  6. they need the OG vandal sole make em look og if your gonna put the vintage touches to the sole. and kids who say these are trash please do me a favor and read up on what the AJKO is really all about.

  7. Woo swaggin if that was the case u still have ya og pair then you wouldn't mind the yellowing . . . Cuz if you really do have em that sole must look like the sun right about now

Ajko means air jordan knock out . . . It was the first pair to officialy get scrapped due to nike not wanting to produce this shoe to the public. im only an 80s baby but as far as I can remmeber due to quality issues they recalled this shoe . . . who eva has a pair of og ajko usually range anywhere btwn 2 – 3 stacks

So if u don't cop it chances r its cuz you young n don't know the deal

    ;-)

  8. LOL at first comment, nothing coming out this year is more heated then these (judging from value history).

Yeah, the vintage look was done incorrectly, like someone ran some baseball in these before sending 'em out. They need a more yellowed rather than dirty look if they want true vintage … lol make it look like you stepped in piss instead of #2.

  9. SICK!!!!!!! I like IT, I really like it. These are really nice. Man I cant WAIT!! I cant wait any longer Gotta have em. I hope they bring these back with more colors. Like Black and red something like that

  10. all the people who choose to hate on them can kill themselves. These is just plain cold. About time jordan release some nice sneaks and quits with the bullshit.

  11. At first, I thought I was looking at someone's e-bay pics of used TKOs for sale, but I thought wrong :/ I can see putting the vintage look on the soles, cause no one really sees those, but on the rim of the shoe?? Not feeling that! I work hard to keep that part clean…you feel me? When I rock them (cause I will cop them), Imma keep thinking I just scuffed them :/ I hope the final version takes that part out.

But other than that, I'm lovin them. Love that material (similar to the Jordan/Levi pack). The colorway is a must! And it says A1KO…dope!

All I'm saying is, it better not be more than $115….I can't pay that much for dirty shoes. It's like buying Guess or Lucky Brand jeans with holes in them for $100 bucks…I don't get it?

    hallelujah holla back!

    J-MO

  12. Should be no more than $110. And they'll have to clean up the sole. Make it look new, so that for people who want to dirty them, or age them, they can do that on their own.

Also, Nike will have to re-release true-to-the-originals over the next 3 years, which could be a rocky 3 years for them or anybody. For example, Jordan 3 Cement, with the "Nike Air" as opposed to the Jumpman logo.

As far as this one goes, I understand the PD arguments of differentiating "OG" from "Retro", but those classic arguments are becoming less and less important, as the customers for this type of product will continue to look for true-to-the-originals. Materials will be off, regardless, on any retro, which would make this a tough hot-seller, as-is, but add the worn sole and this shoe becomes a tough sale all together.

If you have to differentiate the product, do it on the packaging-level. Maybe, original box design, but white for orange and orange for white. If you put it in the other '85 boxes, then maybe, instead of red Nike on black box, the reverse. That's all. Good luck.
