Air Jordan I (1) Alpha - Spring 2010 Preview

2010 surely has a lot in store for Jordan Brand. Come Spring 2010, we’ll be able to cop the latest in Air Jordan basketball shoes: the Air Jordan I (1) Alpha. The AJ1 Alpha takes the classic AJ1 silhouette and revamps it with the latest in Nike Basketball technology: a Zoom Air sole, Phylon midsole, and a non-sewn upper to name a few traits. The Alpha features perforations at the toebox, tongue, and side panel, and a comfy-looking inner lining to complete the ultimate basketball shoe. Style and performance equals Alpha, and it comes in four classic colorways. Check out the pictures below.

  7. theyre saposed to be like the og jordans made before the 1s. if you have a og pair tho, they look beat ta shit, yellowed, n the soles are cracked in half. those would be cool to have, but these.. nawww.

  9. I guess most of you non-basketball playing sneakerheads just don't understand, Nike and JB were built around being innovative and trying new things with BASKETBALL shoes. From a ballers standpoint these are perfect, I can fully understand the concept for the design, 1s made for today's ball player. Think about it, have you ever tried playing in 1s?

    Yeah everyone is all complaining like they gonna rock these shoes. That is not why they did the upgrade to these shoes so you can play in 1's for todays game. 1's are some of the worst shoes to play in that Michael was considered even more amazing playing in shoes that had horrible cushioning.

  15. they needed a upgrade and i like how they threw the silk collar from the xx3's on the collar of these. regular ones were uncomfortable and iv'e had atleast 10 pair; i aint one of these new-era fusion kids; 80's baby————-82

  20. wow, lots of ignorant posts on here. don't mess with a classic, blah blah etc.. how have they messed these up? Because they've used the AJ1 silhouette and added current technology to meet expectations or basketball? If these are primarily intended for basketball, then IMO, JB came up with a smart idea. So many people complain that 1's aren't meant for ball, so why not create a AJ1 based shoe that can actually perform on the court. They could have made things worst like a fusion by adding mutliple traits.

  25. Im one of those heads that hate fusions/spizikes/etc.. Bit I am 110% feelings these shoes. I love the aj1s [classic!] but they're NOT in any way made for ballin' or any type of physical activity. I mean, it's a basketball shoe that's not meant for playing basketball. So what did they do? Upgrade it with latest tech to make it built for basketball. Brilliant. Finally c/s a modern JB fusion-like idea. Clap for 'em.

  27. I think these are the best idea JB has came out with in a while. U all hating on these but have u really played ball? The OG 1s cant be used for ball, they'll fall apart in seconds. But with these, ballers can enjoy the luxury of playing in a classic shoe. Great Job JB!
