Jordan Brand is going heavy with the original colorways in 2027, and the lineup continues to grow. A pair we have seen many ask about returning is the โCharcoalโ Air Jordan 9. For the longest time, the answer was no. However, that will change in Fall 2027, when the pair will finally make a long-overdue comeback.
The โCharcoalโ is an original colorway that originally released in 1994. The overall build resembles a boot, while the color scheme helps push the look. The only other time we saw the pair launch was in 2010. 17 years later, the pair will finally land at stores.
As for the 2027 release, this Air Jordan 9 will feature a similar color scheme, consisting of Black, Varsity Red, and Dark Charcoal. The good news is that this pair will feature an updated shape that reflects the original mold. As for the look, the pair comes with Black nubuck on the upper with Anthracite on the mudguard that extends to the collar and medial side.
Adding to the look, we have Red used on the tongue branding, liner, heel pull tabs, โ23,โ and world logo. Other details include a Black glossy finish on the midsole and the signature rubber outsole.
