In the mid-2000s, Jordan Brand released various Air Jordan retros that are now considered classics. Some pairs were better than others, but if you missed out on any from that time frame, the brand is starting to bring them back. With the return of the ‘Burgundy’ Air Jordan 5 in Summer 2023, we can confirm that the Air Jordan 5 ‘Olive’ will also return in Spring 2024.
Although not an original colorway, we first saw this Air Jordan 5 release on November 11th, 2006. Also, the shoes were part of JB’s Lifestyle (LS) series, which was accompanied by matching apparel. At the time, you could grab your size for only $145 (retail). While we can’t confirm the retail price yet, it will be $200 or $210. How times have changed.
A year before the ‘Olive’ Air Jordan 5 release, Jordan Brand connected with Undefeated to release the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4. When images first surfaced of the Jordan 5, peopled dubbed them ‘UNDFTD’ due to the similar colorway. However, this was not a collaboration and was a general release.
The 2024 release of this Air Jordan 5 will feature the same colorway that consists of Army Olive, Solar Orange, and Black. The name of the shades may change, but the overall look will stay the same. Utilizing Olive Green suede across the entire upper, while a more vibrant shade of Green lands on the eyelets, laces, and midsole. Allowing the shoes to stand out, Orange appears on the midsole shark teeth, within the Air Max unit, liner, lace lock, and Jumpman on the 3M tongue and heels. The signature Air Jordan label lands on the inside of the tongues, while a translucent outsole finishes the look.
Air Jordan 5 Olive 2024 Release Details
You can expect the Air Jordan 5 ‘Olive’ to release at select retailers and Nike.com during Spring 2024. The retail price is $210. As soon as we have more information, we will make sure to update you. For now, check out photos of the 2006 release below.
