The Air Jordan 18 “Breaking Barriers” will be released during Fall 2027. The upcoming pair will take inspiration from the original “Black Sport Royal” Air Jordan 18. However, it will feature changes including a flame-like graphic across the toe.

Jordan Brand will slowly launch pairs of sneakers that haven’t received the attention they deserve. One of those is the Air Jordan 18, a model originally released in 2003. We have seen people ask for the brand to bring the pair back, and that will finally happen in 2027. While some may want an original colorway to return, the first confirmed pair is the “Breaking Barriers” Air Jordan 18.

Take note, the image used is a mock-up and what releases may differ. However, our sources told us that this Air Jordan 18 will feature a colorway similar to the original “Black Sport Royal” Air Jordan 18. This will include Black across the upper, tongue overlay, and heel. Additionally, we have Blue across the liner, midsole, and other small accents throughout.

What will be unique to this pair is the flame-like graphic used across the toe and part of the midsole. It will feature different shades like Blue, Green, Yellow, and Orange. Outlining the flames with White stitching allows the overall look to stand out.

Bottom Line

I think most people will be happy to hear that the Air Jordan 18 is returning. However, I do feel that most won’t be happy with the blocking. Sure, the Black and Blue pair is a classic, and most would enjoy that. However, I think the issue is the flames. I have no issues with the brand telling a story, and that’s what they will do here. But we need original colorways too.
