The “Black Toe” Air Jordan 14 has a long history, dating back to 1998 when the original pair launched. In 2006, we saw the pair return. However, it was not like the original release. The 2006 rendition came with ribbing and perforations on the side panels. This feature was first seen on the “Candy Cane” rendition. The last time the shoes arrived at retailers was in 2014. Jordan Brand is celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Air Jordan 14 in 2024. However, it will mark the 26th Anniversary since the shoes were first released (even the official website states 1998 is the original release of the Air Jordan 14). Nevertheless, the Air Jordan 14 “Black Toe” will land at retailers again for the Holiday 2024 season.
The classic Air Jordan 14 in the “Black Toe” scheme comes dressed in a White, Varsity Red, Black and Metallic Silver color combination. Highlighted with White leather across the panels and Black suede on the toe box. The midsole, including the teeth, is done in White, with Metallic Silver in the mid-foot and the Jumpman and 23 on the heels. Red fills in the Jumpman on the toe, Jordan across the top of the tongue, and accented on the heels. Completing the classic look is mostly Black and Metallic Silver on the rubber outsole.
