The Air Jordan 1 ‘SP Gina’ is a special women’s release which is a tribute to longtime customer of Shoe Palace who goes by the name of spginagotgame on Instagram.
SP Gina is a teacher and community leader from California. She is spotted at Shoe Palace almost every weekend buying the latest release and as a tribute, Shoe Palace and Jordan Brand with the help of SP Gina came up with this Air Jordan 1.
This Air Jordan 1 features a Black and Red color combination. Instead of using leather, Jordan Brand has replaced it with ballistic mesh while leather lands on the Wings logo. In addition we have tonal branding, Red rubber outsole and SP Gina branding on the insoles which is a silhouette of her face.

You can expect the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘SP Gina’ to release in-store at the first Shoe Palace located at 2206 Business Circle in San Jose, California and online at ShoePalace.com on May 25th. Following additional Shoe Palace locations will launch this pair and the entire apparel line on June 1st. Retail price is set at $180.

Update 5/21: The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘SP Gina’ Collection will launch at the first Shoe Palace location that opened its doors 26 years ago, SP Bascom. Located at 2206 Business Circle in San Jose, California, people that show up to the store on May 25th, 2019 will be able to purchase the SP Gina Air Jordan 1 before they release at all Shoe Palace locations on June 1st.
The SP Collection which includes apparel will release on May 25th, 2019 via Shoepalace.com. Customers that want to earn the right to buy the sneakers will take a Michael Jordan scantron test which will be given by SP Gina. If you pass the test, you can take home the SP Gina sneakers.
The Air Jordan 1 ‘SP Gina’ and SP Gina apparel will release at all Shoe Palace locations on June 1st.
Update 5/9: PJ Tucker gives us another look at the ‘SP Gina’ Air Jordan 1. They also come with a special box which resembles a lunchbox. While a set release date has yet to be announced, we should hear more information soon.
