Jordan Brand is connecting with Howard University for another collaboration, and this time itโs part of the brandโs Holiday 2026 collection. Instead of working on a new model, the two will debut another Air Jordan 1 Low OG. Although the silhouette isnโt as hyped as it once was, it still has a following, and we have Howard’s backing, which will bring in another fan base.
Howard University is one of the most prestigious Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the country, and it became the first HBCU ever to sign an official partnership with Jordan Brand. The partnership started in 2022 and will last 20 years. Not only will the school sport the Jumpman logo on its uniforms, but sneakers and apparel will also be released.
Going back to 2024, we saw the first โHowardโ Air Jordan 1 Low OG release to the public. Although the shoes didnโt feature Howard University branding, they are connected to the school. Furthermore, matching apparel was released, and going beyond that, we have seen player exclusives pop up.
For the 2026 release, this Air Jordan 1 Low OG will feature Midnight Navy. We can expect shades of Red and White as well. However, because Jordan Brand is trying to disguise the blocking, the rest of the color description is labeled Multi-Color. While I can confirm the shoes will be a collaboration with Howard, it isnโt known if they will come with Howard University branding.

Air Jordan 1 Low OG Howard 2026 Release Date
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG โHowardโ will be released on October 1st, 2026, at select Jordan Brand retailers, including Nike.com. The retail price is $165. Once we have more details, we will update you.
Bottom Line
Jordan Brand’s partnership with Howard University continues to be one of the more meaningful collaborations in the sneaker world, and the second “Howard” Air Jordan 1 Low OG keeps that momentum going into Holiday 2026. The 20-year partnership, which began in 2022, was a significant moment for HBCU representation in sneaker culture, and every release under that deal carries weight beyond the shoe itself. The Midnight Navy colorway should give this pair a clean, wearable look that works both on and off campus, and the Multi-Color blocking suggests there will be some surprises once official images surface.
