Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Howard” Releases October 2024

The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Howard” will be released during the Holiday of 2024. Initially expected to be a true collaboration, this pair will be inspired by the University and will debut on October 12, 2024. The retail price is $140.

In 2023, Jordan Brand gifted various college basketball teams their own Air Jordan 1 Low OG PE. One of the schools was Howard University, specifically the women’s basketball team. Each pair had a similar theme, but the colors and mascot present would reflect the school. Jordan Brand will launch the “Howard University” Air Jordan 1 Low OG during the Holiday 2024 season.

Howard University was founded on March 2, 1867, and some famous alumni include Chadwick Boseman, Sean Combs, Nick Cannon, Marlon Wayans, Anthony Anderson, a big Jordan Brand guy, Taraji P. Henson, and more. In 2020, Jordan Brand and Howard University signed a 20-year partnership. The same year, Michael Jordan committed to donate $100 million over 10 years to organizations dedicated to ensuring racial equality and social justice. Since the partnership, Howard has received multiple player exclusives, including a showcase of Air Jordans 1 – 38.

Originally expected to resemble the Player Exclusive, this Air Jordan 1 Low will feature a different color blocking and lack branding. However, the shades used will resemble the school’s, featuring White, Gym Red, Midnight Navy, Neutral Grey, Sail, and Muslin color scheme. Highlighted in leather throughout, the shoes will have White on the base with Navy around the toe box, eyestays, Swoosh, and Wings branding. Red lands on the heel and mini Swoosh by the toe. Other details include a Sail midsole and a Gum rubber outsole.

Update (7/18/24): Here is what you can expect the “Howard” Air Jordan 1 Low OG to look like. Initially expected to mimic the PE with branding, the shoes will come in a different color blocking, as shown here. Also, they will no longer have the school’s branding.
