Believe or not, denim has always been an interesting material choice for sneakers over the years. What essentially pairs together classic styling and modern design, Jordan Brand will keep up with the trend by rolling out the the Air Jordan 1 “Denim” later this year.

As some may recall, the last time we saw denim on an Air Jordan 1 retro was back in 2008, i.e. with the “Levi Denim” Pack. Shying away from any elephant print detailing this time around, this iteration will display a clean navy denim canvas and include tonal leather accents which from first images look to cover the shoe’s Swoosh branding and ankle collar. As multicolored eyelets and lace options appear to accompany this shoe, we suspect an underlying theme of some sort. With 41 days to go until the 2014 World Cup, could this be a FIFA-inspired release?
