Utilizing Nike Free technology, Hurley is set to introduce the Phantom Sandal.
Continuing to expand upon its Phantom innovation platform, Hurley is announcing the launch of the first-ever Phantom sandal.
Hurley’s Phantom Sandal channels the various technological advances first seen within Hurley’s award-winning Phantom boardshorts and applies it to footwear. Launching with an initial series of 5 colorways, the Phantom sandal sole features Nike Free technology, with flex grooves designed to mimic how the foot moves. The upper is constructed using spacer mesh technology, which allows for a sandal that is both breathable and washable. The soft, eva footbed molds to the foot, creating conformed comfort for the wearer. The result? The most comfortable, functional sandal to date.
“Phantom innovation is all about second skin, Nike free is all about the bare foot or natural motion,” says Ryan Hurley, Creative Director. “Bringing these two schools of thought together seemed very natural.”
The Phantom sandal will be available beginning November 15 on Hurley.com as well as select Hurley retailers nationwide. Additional colorways of the sandal will become available Spring 2013.
