Last month, the SB Dunk Low “Chirping Bird” made quite a bit of noise in the sneaker community (pun intended). The design still entails a black suede upper with patent leather Nike swoosh and red outsole. Unfortunately, there’s another thing that hasn’t changed since then- these are still in the sample stage. Without a concrete release decision- let alone date- a pair of these Nike SB Dunk Low’s in the usual sample size 9 has become available for sale through ATB. Moreover, a video of the store displaying how the chirping sound works can now be watched via YouTube. At a going rate of $625, who out there likes this pair of Dunk’s so much he/she is willing to pay the hefty price? We might soon find out.

This holiday is, again, shaping up to be one for the AGES. Along with Jordan retros, Air Force 1’s, and Air Max’s, Nike also has planned to drop a couple of Nike Dunk’s on us this holiday season. Here we bring you a picture of yet another high-top Nike Dunk releasing during the holidays. It consists of a predominantly team red & burgundy-ish red upper, along with a gold Nike swoosh and grey sole. Topped off with white laces and what appears to be a fishscale patter along the upper, these are expected to be made available come December, 2009. What do you think of these Nike Dunk High’s? To add to the list of October 2009 releases from Nike, Nike has released new colorways for the Nike Dunk Low and Nike Blazer High. The Nike Dunk Low comes in a black/varsity purple/white colorway, using a black and varsity purple leather upper, with a purple striped toebox, grey mesh inner lining, and white leather swoosh. The Dunk is part of the Nike rivals pack, as it represents Nike North on the tongue tag. The Nike Blazer High Urbano comes in a black/white colorway, using a black nubuck upper, classic black Blazer midsole, and white leather swoosh to match the white ankle panel. These are both out now for $78 a piece.

The Nike Dunk is coming back to its roots with a simple yet clean colorway for its SB series. The Nike Dunk Low Pro SB comes in an obsidian/black colorway. Digging into the Gino archives, this pair of Dunks rocks a black perforated leather side panel and toebox, with obsidian suede throughout the shoe. The grey suede swoosh adds a really nice touch to the shoe, matching with the outsole which sits under a white midsole. These Nike quickstrikes have definitely created a small buzz around the shoe, given that it’s undergone a drastic change before its confirmed release. Nike SB’s latest idea for the Nike Dunk Mid SB isn’t really a new idea, but a revamped one. The Nike Dunk Mid SB Griptape from 2007 has been subtly changed, and as a result, the 2009 Griptape version has breathed life. The Nike Dunk Mid SB 2009 Griptape features the exact same griptape design and colorway, with the black griptape upper and light graphite swoosh. The only difference is the red color on the laces and SB logo on the ankle strap, and don’t forget about the blue box this time. But, if you liked the original Griptapes but wished they added your favorite color of red in the mix, then your wish has been granted. Look out for these Mids at your local Nike SB retailer.
