The Air Jordan 17 Low was released in the summer of 2002, following the mid-top version (Air Jordan 17) introduced in February of that year. The “Lightning” colorway was initially released in June 2002, followed by the โUNCโ colorway, which was launched in August 2002, and the โBlack Chromeโ in October 2002. At $175, this Air Jordan was $25 cheaper than the $200 mid-top, which remained too expensive for most consumers in 2002. We would eventually see the model retro in 2024, with the return of the โLightningโ and UNC.โ Beyond, new colorways will debut, which we will share here.
