Rucker Dub Strap

In an attempt to preserve the legacy of Holcombe Rucker and the Rucker Park, grandson Chris Rucker will be launching six different styles in over two dozen different color-ways for the Rucker line.

The Dub Strap mid is just one of the six styles and is a mid cut performance shoe. Pictured above and after the jump, the Dub Strap appears in two different color-ways, orange/purple and red/white/blue. Keep an eye out for the Rucker line of Basketball sneakers.

  1. Yeah and after I'm done hoopin, I'll lace up some of Soulja Boy's Yum Sneakers and listen to V.I.C. get silly. These shoes are donk, you smell me.

  2. these remind me of the starbury's. also if you slap a nike swoosh on these, i could see them being lebron's next signature shoe.

  3. Gentlemen,

Thank you for the feedback positive or negative. I shall read your comments regularly, and attempt to answer any questions personally. NBA All Star Weekend is when Rucker footwear will launch. You can see some of our apparel in Gunnin' For That #1 Spot! which is a basketball documentary by Adam Yauch in theaters now. The website is http://www.gunninmovie.com.

    Thanks again,

    Chris Rucker

  4. Jordanfiend,

Actually, my grandfather was not Earl Manigault. "The Goat" played in my grandfather's tournament. My grandfather was Holcombe Rucker. I like to describe him as a humanitarian and philanthropist so much so that his work killed him. Earl Manigault and seven hundred other people are Holcombe Rucker's legacy. I wish I could do half the good he did. Anyway, people assume the family business every single day and I'm just expanding on mine.

    Thanks,

    Chris Rucker

  5. Thanks Retro and everybody else! I gotta tell you guys the Dub Strap looks better in person and is more of a "team shoe" as opposed to straight fashion. The other shoe we have is off the rails and it's called the Ex Lite internally. I was skeptical at first but seeing it first hand I have no doubts about this shoe.

  6. should of had me design it i could have made it into something ballers and spectators alike would buy.. not that its bad but it has that and one look rather than that jordan/nike look that people go after.. email me a [email protected] il send some sketches over your way

  7. Good lookin' on the feedback fellas. You guys should see actual photos soon. I'm not ready for interns yet, but you can get at me with submissions or if you just hate me at [email protected].

  8. Wish I could show these some love, but I keeps it true! These shoes ain't tight if they look anything like these cartoony ass pics. Git with ya design team one more time and put whatever shoe you got on up they asses.

  9. To be Honest….. These are not that bad. They look like a Nike Sig Model…. I mean Jordan Brand with the way they have been going downhill lately doesn't really have a team show out now that looks as good as the real version will obviously look like…….

  10. the shoe might be great, but the way its presented to everyone on here is garbage. first impressions are the most important and youre not making a very strong case. atleast a rendered view of it.

  11. I realize holcome rucker is not the goat, i have seen rebound. but my serious opinion of the shoes, colors r a little out there, calm those down. Also you should be carefull bc these seem like the p millers i seem liek marshalls

  12. ill gonna keep it i usually would stay away from shoes like this cause 1. there not nike or jordan 2. i never been 2 da rucker and only know little about it/ but man these shoes are so hard i love these/ if u come up with a reasonable price a alot of people will cop these/ i wouldnt mind if these were the xx4s

  13. Fellas,

I definitely should have put the pictures up first. I'm new to the footwear business and didn't realize artwork wasn't good enough. Also, you guys haven't seen all eighteen colorways yet, so you wouldn't know half are brighter and half are darker. That doesn't mean I'm going to release every colorway, just that there are choices. I will try to have more pics up tomorrow. Rucker does need a sneaker logo, but we just haven't gotten the job done on that end yet. Thanks for the feedback and my designer is reading this as well. Talk to you guys tomorrow.

  15. "Chris sounds like hes just trying to make some money off his grandpas legendary name, THE GOAT!"

Jordanfiend is dumb why you going say that if its two different people? but yeah i think i will get these, wuts the retail?

  16. you guys take this 2 heart huh? mr rucker do you have a web site? i mean how do you conduct a business with out one?

  17. I'm not sure on the exact retail yet "your mother", however it will be less than ninety dollars. That's very true about the website lois lane, and I actually share a site at http://www.stallanddean.com. I hope to have my own site soon though. I felt the same way about the shoes before I received the samples lois lane, but I would definitely sport them having seen them in person. I stand by these shoes one hundred percent. Shoot me an email lois lane and I will send you some more pics.

  18. Hi! 🙂 Is it OK if I ask something kinda off topic? I’m trying to view this page on my new iPad but it won’t show up properly, do you have any solutions? Should I try and find an update for my software or something? Thanks in advance! Jennine x 🙂
