We have written about the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard a few times with some pretty nice shots of the shoes, but what we lacked at the time was a release date. Today that has changed and sources are pointing at a May 2015 launch.

For those that missed out on the other articles, the Shattered Backboard Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is inspired by Michael Jordan’s jersey when he played in an exhibition game in Italy. During the game, Jordan actually demolished the backboard. The insoles which features shattered glass and a rim, the uppers consists of white, black and orange. In addition, the shoes will also come factory unlaced,

We have the Air Jordan 1 High Shattered Backboard to release on June 27th 2015 and will cost you $160. It is rumored that they will be very limited, some saying as limited as the Fragment Design Jordan 1s.

The Shattered Backboard Air Jordan 1 will not be an easy cop. Numbers produced are on the limited side, in addition not all retailers will have them. So far it looks like EastBay won’t be one of them. If purchasing in-store, be prepared to enter a raffle. Seems like most places are cracking down on the lineup, so you could avoid that.
