The Puma x Alexander McQueen collaboration yields this sneaker, the Ribcage, a combination of a sporty style and functionality. Throughout the teaming up of both sides, anatomy has been taken into consideration and is illustrated on the Ribcage. Like the name suggests, Puma and Alexander McQueen get their inspiration for this sneaker from the structure of a human ribcage. Also playing a role in the design process of the shoes is Puma’s ninties running styles, creating a technical
sports fashion appeal.
The Ribcage is offered in two different versions, the Ribcage Lux and Ribcage Sport. The first model is made up of a clean and simple look consisting of an innovative embossed leather cage eye and technical mesh upper. The Ribcage Sport uses brighter colors with a transparent ribcage as opposed to the black on black color scheme. Other highlights include a leather toe, heel and tongue with debossed logos.
