Nike Store Cancels Air Jordan 1 Chicago Pinnacle Release

Well this came literally last minute, Nike has announced they are not releasing the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Chicago’ and Air Jordan 1 High Pinnacle tomorrow.

The reason they gave is due to bots! Here is what they said:

Nike is committed to creating the most premium experiences for our consumers online. Bots have been compromising the experience around specific products. We’re working hard to make sure real consumers are the ones getting access.

As part of this commitment, we have decided to cancel the online launch of the Air Jordan I Pinnacle and the Air Jordan I High OG Varsity Red scheduled for tomorrow in North America. The launch of the Air Jordan I High OG Varsity Red scheduled for mainland China is also being canceled. Both styles will be available through select Nike retailers and through our stores.

Please check the Launch Calendar for future updates.

While some are saying this is a ploy, we highly doubt it. But what we do think is the actual reason is a delay in shipping. Bots aren’t new, they been around for many of this years highly anticipated releases and longer.

Once Nike Store updates us on when the new release is for the Chicago and Pinnacle Air Jordan 1, we will let you know.
