Nike Skateboarding will adapt another basketball signature shoe for skating. This time, the brand will collaborate with Charles Barkley to create the Nike SB Air Max2 CB 94 Low. The model was initially released in 1994, but was introduced as a low-top later. The first colorway to be released will be highlighted in “Varsity Red.”
Nike Skateboarding typically uses the Dunk Low. However, they have recently gravitated towards other models, giving the shoes the SB treatment. We will see the SB Air Max 95 debut for the first time, but before that, we have seen the SB Trainer 1, SB Air Trainer 2, SB Blazer, and more. As for signature basketball sneakers, we have seen the SB Air Jordan 1 and SB Air Jordan 4. For the first time, Charles Barkley’s signature shoe will be built for skate parks.
This Nike Air Max2 CB 94 Low combines White, Varsity Red, and Gum Light Brown. At the time of writing, the image used is a mock-up, and what releases may differ. However, the blocking may resemble the “Varsity Red” SB Jordan 4 due to the color description. However, the pair will feature mostly White throughout with Varsity Red accents. As well, it will come with a Gum rubber outsole.
Details on the technology have yet to be revealed, but we can expect a padded tongue, beefed-up padding, and a Gum rubber outsole for traction.
