The Nike MetCon 2 Released, Here Are Some Upcoming Colorways

Nike Metcon 2 Releases Colors

On Saturday, Nike released the next installment in the Metcon series, the Nike Metcon 2. For it’s initial debut, we have three different color options as well as the chance to iD your own pair. Made famous due to being Nike’s first CrossFit sneaker and being banned from CrossFit events due to Reebok’s sponsorship.

The Nike MetCon 2 Training Shoe features a flat, stable platform and dual-density foam for stability and cushioning during intense workouts. Firm and sticky rubbers create durable traction and extra support. Here are some of the highlights from Nike:

  • Flat, stable platform for explosive lift
  • Zero-drag heel for hand-stand pushups
  • Flywire technology provides a locked-down fit
  • Abrasion-resistant film helps protect against high-heat friction
  • Dual-density foam midsole for cushioning and durable support
  • Firm rubber in the outsole heel and sticky rubber in the toe for stability and traction

Nike has also re-engineered the heel design on the Metcon 2. The new design will now eliminate heel drag.

The brand has also launched the NIKEiD Metcon 2 which can be customized in Men’s and Women’s sizing. Amongst the sixteen different color options available, you can also add custom text to the heel like your name or a motivational quote. Other options include the addition of a Country flag or NIKEiD exclusive training logo.

Nike has just released several colorways of the Metcon 2 ($130) which includes iD options ($170) and a Amplify edition ($140). More colors will be available starting February 1st although we have received reports that some retailers have started to launch those pairs. Below you can see what has released and what will launch. To purchase, you can visit FinishLine.com or NikeStore.com.
