Just when you thought Mache couldn’t get any higher with his amazing customs, he’s jumped out of the stratosphere. Teaming up with Relevant Customs, Mache has created a take on the “What the Kobe” unlike any we’ve seen before. Utilizing premium animal skins to completely recreate the uppers of the Nike Kobe System 8, the Mache and Relevant team take luxury to a whole new level.
Authentic python skin composes the main portions of the upper, while black shark and neon lizard skin handle the rear vertical striped panels. The outer Swoosh is composed of black snakeskin, while the inner Swoosh consists of stingray skin. The Cheetah print tongue and lining is created by, you guessed it: real Cheetah skin! Ok, the cheetah is faux, but that’s the only animal material not legit on these works of art. Custom laser tags by Absolelute, with purple python skin, give the finishing touches on the Kobe logo.
