Nike Basketball and Kobe Bryant are set to launch a new colorway of the Kobe 3 Low Protro, which will debut in March 2026. The model, which was first seen on Vanessa Bryantโs feed and on Jalen Brunsonโs feet, will now have its second colorway debut. After a limited launch of the โWarning Labelโ Kobe 3 Low Protro, the “Mamba Magic” is the first wide-release Kobe 3 Low colorway following that All-Star drop, and it sets the tone for what is coming throughout 2026.
Bryant played at The Forum for his first three years as a Laker, as the arena was home to the franchise from 1967 to 1999. The Lakers then moved to the Staples Center, now called the Crypto.com Arena, at the beginning of the ’99 season.
This Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro is dressed in a Doll, White, and Pink Foam colorway. Unlike previous releases of The Forum, this iteration features a nighttime version of the venue, replete with Black trim and a soft Pink sole unit, sidewall, and toe cap. A Silver rear Swoosh wraps the heel, while the same hue appears on the Kobe shield logo placed on the tongue.

Bottom Line
The “Mamba Magic” Kobe 3 Low Protro is exactly what this silhouette needed as its first wide-release colorway. The “Warning Label” drop at All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles was limited and exclusive, which built the hype around the Kobe 3 Low’s return. The “Mamba Magic” gives the public a real shot at owning a piece of that legacy by leaning into The Forum’s history rather than chasing trends.

Frequently Asked Questions
Protro stands for “Performance Retro.” Nike uses the Protro designation when updating classic Kobe models with modern performance technology while keeping the original design intact.
The Forum was the Lakers’ home arena from 1967 to 1999, and Kobe played his first three NBA seasons there from 1996 to 1999. Although Kobe did not win championships at The Forum, those years were formative for his development as a player.
