The Nike Dunk is known for its roots in 1985 and the special “Be True To Your School” Pack. Nike would make pairs for college basketball teams, including UNLV, Syracuse, St. John, Kentucky, Michigan, Iowa, and Villanova. This also resulted in the ad campaign “Be True To Your School”, which helped push the specific colorways to fans. In 2024, Nike Sportswear will debut the “Michigan” iteration of the Dunk Low. However, it will be the Vintage model and consists of aged detailing.
Dressed in a Black, Tour Yellow, Midnight Navy, and Sail color combination. This Nike Dunk Low comes with cracked leather on the collar and heels, making this pair appear to be the original drop. Furthering the vintage look is an aged midsole. Next, Black leather covers the base, and Navy adorns the overlays and laces. Sealing the theme, Yellow fills in the Swoosh logos, tongue branding, insoles, and “Nike” embroidered on the heels. A Black rubber outsole finishes the look.
