The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 will return to its original colorways in 2025. However, before that happens, we have the “Hot Lava” iteration dropping in Fall 2024. Recently, we reported that the “Racer Pink” pair will return, but we have also received confirmation from our sources that the Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 “Tart” will return in the Summer of 2025.
The “Tart” Air Tech Challenge 2 is an original colorway. However, it was also known as “Clay” or “Clay Blue.” Since the OG launch in 1990, we saw the pair launch two more times. The first retro landed in 2008, and then it was dubbed “Tart.” Another launch came in 2014. However, the shading was slightly different. Moving forward, Nike is calling the 2025 pair “Tart.”
This Nike Air Tech Challenge II comes dressed in a Sail, Tart, Stone Blue, Football Grey, Pure Platinum, and Coconut Milk color combination. The shoes will feature White leather on the base and Stone Blue detailing on the overlays and gradients on the sides. Next, Tart, a shade of Orange, appears on the Swoosh logos, inside of the tongue, and branding. Due to the use of Coconut Milk, we will likely see an aged midsole, similar to what the brand did on the “Hot Lava” pair.
