Nike Air Native N7 Made for Native Americans

We sometime tend to forget that Nike is an athletic sneaker company and not just for people that like to be in style. With that said, Nike has made their first ever sneaker for a specific race, which is called the Nike Air Native N7. This model is made specifically for Native Americans and to help the obesity problems within the tribes.

The Nike Air Native N7 is designed with a larger fit for the distinct foot shape of American Indians. Distribution will hit tribal wellness programs and tribal schools nationwide allowing for the sneaker to be bought at wholesale prices. Nike has said that all profits from the Nike Air Native N7 will go to health programs for tribal lands, where problems with obesity, diabetes and related conditions are near epidemic levels in some tribes. 1. dem big ass boots lol, but nike making a shoe just for a race is nothin new. flashy bball shoes for black people, wack runnin shoes for white poeple, and any thing else for asians to try and look cool in because its nike.

  2. interesting concept. i wonder how long it'll take before nike starts release limited edition tweed and holiday packs for the N7s. maybe a limited "tribe" pack.

  3. Yes!!!! Finally my husband and sons may find shoes to fit. Being of Cherokee descent, their feet are wide (EEEE) and thick. Never can find shoes that fit right. Now we need to know where to purchase them. Do you have that info?

  4. "damn i forgot the internet had wackos."….that's funny! But too true!!!

And r u serious??? Native Americans inhabited American soil looooonnnggg b4 any white people even stepped foot on this continent. Unbelieveable.

Now, I find it interesting that Nike is making these shoes. Do I get some if I'm 1/8 Sioux???? I want a piece of the pie, too!!!

  5. Dang those shoes are saawweeett… ya klnow wut they should make like basketball shoes, lacrosse shoes, and baseball shoes for us native people.. datd be frigin ace, anyone know when they come out in Canada? cuz the shoe i got now aint to good… i also heard that in order to get Nike Air Native N7, u need to have a status card and need to be native american!! lol

  6. I beleive that you have to be affiliated with a certain tribe and you have to be enrolled in a tribe. I think thats a good idea because you know everyone and their momma claims to be 1/9999999 indian. I don't think they're available to the public.

  7. I think it's about time that we receive some respect…and as for that minx you should read up on your history! Sorry for sounding rude, but think before you say anything, because you aremaking a fool of yourself.

  8. honestly now, some of you guys need to check up on your history. you may have gotten most of us, but like most 'white-mentality' people, you got lazy and didnt finish the job, therefor a few of us are still around and have internet access. i am full native american, i have the geneology to prove it(and to those of you who dont know those big words that means 'family history') and you dont 'enroll' to be an indian. actually, the term isnt native indian. thats what the 'white' people call us. we preferto be called by our tribal names. and no being 1/8 native does not make you eligable for anything other than my odd-shaped foot being 1/8 closer to being up where the sun dont shine.

  9. none of you guys know what your talking about!!! define what it means to be an indian? to have a cdib card, having descendency, or having your white mom tell you your indian…. it's not about that, if your indian you would know it to be true in your heart…. and personally i think the shoe is a great idea…. all you white people just like bitching about something…

  10. the shoes don't even represent natives at all i wonder who did the research for the company. that shoe is a real disappointment.the shoes needs some real help. it really needs color and a touch of our heritage. our people are leaders and this shoes does not bring that out. we hold ourselves with pride and dignity. i believe this shoes doesn't bring any of your qualityies as Native people as a whole.

  11. I think that the fact that they are trying to be diverse in the best way they know how is a start! I live in Farmington, New Mexico and have many great friends of many races and ethnicities, we should just be in support that if a shoe company is trying give something to every culture, (shoe size, width, color aside!!) We should just respect that! If Nike can do that why can't we all? Come on this is America and Nationality aside it's just a shoe and I'm sure all of us aren't 100% of anything these days!! Even our families, I'm Navajo, Irish, and Spanish but I think everyone are beautiful in thier own heritage, traditional and physical ways!!

  12. i just want to tell to the person comment sept.27 and 28 about native american in this country.. they are here before colombus came with black slave.i'm an asian born and the same story the spanish bring slave in my country. i know because i read the history of my country .native american own this land
