Nike Sportswear released the “Powerwall Series” in 2006, consisting of various Air Max models in different colorways. Some are more limited than others, but the complete series was somewhat limited. One of the special releases was the Nike Air Max 1 Powerwall “BRS”, which pays tribute to Nike’s roots of Blue Ribbon Sports (BRS).
In 2024, we will see the return of the “BRS” Powerwall Air Max 1. However, this time, the release will differ from the 2006 pair. Instead of the traditional Air Max 1, the colorway will be applied to the Air Max 1 ’86, which means the shoes will have the “Big Bubble” treatment.
Initially leaked by bubblekoppe, we can also confirm from our sources that the Air Max 1 ’86 Powerwall “BRS” will be released in 2024.
Using the 1986 rendition of the Nike Air Max 1, the shoes will sport the same colorway. Highlighted with Green mesh on the toe box and satin-like material on the panels and collar. Brown suede runs across the mudguard and heel with Grey on the panels. Adding pop, we have Pink on the Swoosh logos. Other details include Sail on the midsole, a visible Air Max unit in the heel, and a Black rubber outsole.
