The Nike Air Flight Falcon arrived during the early 2010s, but its design looked back much further. The model borrowed details from Nike Basketball shoes of the late 1980s and early 1990s, including elements associated with the Air Flight ’89 and Air Jordan 4. Gilbert Arenas also wore several versions during the 2010-11 NBA season, giving the Falcon some visibility on the court.
For its return, Nike is bringing back two colorways that stay close to the original versions. The “Black/Metallic Silver” pair uses Black across most of the upper, with Metallic Silver on the Swoosh, eyelets, and smaller details. The “White/Cool Grey” version features White leather across the upper, Cool Grey panels, and Black accents.
The construction also keeps the Falcon’s original basketball styling. Both pairs feature a mid-cut shape with layered leather panels, perforations around the toe, and extended eyelet sections that run toward the ankle. “FLIGHT” branding appears on the tongue, while the visible Air unit gives the heel a distinct look.
