Nike 96 Air Griffey Max 2009 Retro

2009 will be see the release of a variety of releases, but one that seems to be generating a lot of buzz in particular is Nike’s 96 Air Griffey Max retro. The white/black/royal blue model pictured above was already previewed in a recent Nike 2009 Preview, but the re-release of the Seattle Mariners inspired model seems to be one of the more anticipated models. However, both are definitely a sign that Nike is listening to the people. Look for both to release sometime next year. Stay posted for more info. Via Chajin Young.

While you are wrong and haven't been keeping up with baseball since the trade deadline LOL I know what you mean…. It would be nice to see a "Reds" colorway but more than likely that's not gonna happen.

More than likely the will come out with a "Cinncinati Reds" colorway out of respect of Ken Griffey team that he is on now and then Nike will probably drop an all black colorway for these like they always do for Retro Signature Nikes

  6. umm he meant that u havent been keepin up with baseball after the trade deadline cuz umm…hes not with the reds n e more…..hes with the white sox…..

these are hott cant w8 one of my favorite sneakers of all time and these look a lot better than the griffey 2'zz

  7. yeah they nice. but has anybody notice how bulky all the Nike Retro's look i mean baggy close were in the late 90's. but these shoes look huge

  8. Griffey has faded slowly and quietly without a team to take him to the World Series. I hope this is the only retro Griffey we have to see in a long while. I hope they dont over produce these, because they'll be sittin on the discount racks if they do.

  9. retro jordans aint got shit on these…im definately getting 2 pairs of both…these have to be one of the top 5 greatest nikes ever

  10. im definately getting 2 pairs of both…these have to be one of the top 5 greatest nikes ever…jordans are done folks these are the real deal

I will be copping these joints, point blank period, I had the black/whites joints back in the 9th grade I was the only kid with them for like a couple of weeks everybody was on the jordan 11s black/red, I would of had those over these but got to the store too late they were sold out, so i jumped on these, got crazy props for these.

  14. Come on everyone….J's release all there shoes now they are bringing all the retro trainers out ie. the zoom turf trainers worn by barrys saunders, hurrache worn by Bo Jackson and other and why not honor one of the best centerfielders and homerun hitters of all time with a filthy retro shoe. Def copping each colorway…….BRING GRIFFEY BACK TO SEATTLE!!!!!SWINGMAN 24

  15. yeah i been wanting these for a min especially the nike air griffey max 2 those went hard like penititary guards especially wit a mariners jersey and a hat

  16. It's so enjoyable watching the youth of today obliterate the english language in a horrible fashion. The laziness in grammar and punctuation is horrific in every sense. Try and grab something more out of school then the memories of wearing these "joints".

Anyways…Kudos for bringing these back…the royal blues are not only the most comfortable shoe I think I ever wore, but the sweetest looking as well.

  17. Each time I read on this, it is always the same. Finally someone has presented a unique and significant point of view.
