The upper of the New Balance 574 was made with either leather or suede and nylon mesh combinations. The midsole of the New Balance 574 featured New Balance’s ENCAP system, which reduced shock and protected the foot.
The New Balance 574 was reissued in 2003 in several different experimental color ways. It has been a very popular shoe over the years.
